It used to be that buying a new TV meant a big shake to your wallet. No more! Amazon seems to forget that it’s not Black Friday yet: the mega-retailer is currently offering a jaw-dropping deal on the 24-inch Insignia HD Smart LED TV – Fire TV Edition. It dropped to $80 from $170. Again: It’s only $80! But you need to act fast to get ready to watch an intimate, cheap binge – these discounts won’t last long.
Picture and sound that surpass its weight
Even though the price is low, the ‘wow’ factor is high – the Insignia has an image as sharp and colors as vivid as models well above its price point. The audio is also top-notch. In truth, almost 16,000 Buyers have given this model a perfect five-star rating. “Honestly, I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I like this TV,” reported one satisfied Amazon shopper. “As far as clarity is concerned, I believe (HD) 720p is sufficient for this screen size.”
At 24 inches, it’s just the right set for tight spaces. Says one fan: “I don’t see how you’re going to get better sound on such a small TV. Perfect for the kitchen or bedroom… Also pairs well with the Android Alexa app on my smartphone. Nothing to complain about.”
If it’s out there, you can watch
As a Fire TV Edition, this model lets you stream 4K movies and TV shows from Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, SlingTV, Paramount+, Peacock and more, without a separate box or streaming device. And we love that Alexa is included with the remote. So if you’re not a fan of endlessly scrolling through a grid of titles (and who is?), just say, ‘Alexa, tap A League of Their Own,’ It is voila!
How does it compare to other built-in video streaming TVs? Take LG’s 24-inch HD LED TV – it doesn’t come with video streaming or built-in smart home voice features, It is it’s more expensive. Um… difficult pass.
Cord cutters unite!
With its built-in Wi-Fi, the 24-inch Insignia Fire TV Edition TV lets you go cable free. You also won’t experience lag or latency when streaming HD movies and TV shows.
“I’m very pleased with the built-in Fire TV’s Wi-Fi reception,” the buyer continued. “Actually, it works a lot better than the external plug-in USB Fire Sticks, for whatever reason. Super useful when camping with poor Wi-Fi or when using my phone’s hotspot.”
This five-star fan agrees: “Exceptional TV. The picture quality is great…” It also has three HDMI ports, so you can connect a soundbar, video game console or Blu-ray player. You can even browse the web right on the TV.
At just $80 (it was $170), this top-of-the-line set is almost an impulse buy. “Great value,” said Captain Obvious (aka a happy Amazon shopper).
And if the 24-inch model is too small for your viewing pleasure, you might want to pick up the 39-inch Insignia TV. It’s now 30% off, which isn’t too bad for a Smart TV. It has all the same great features as the 24-inch model, but with 15 more inches of fun.
If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping, of course. Not a member yet? No problem. You can sign up for your 30-day free trial here. (And, by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)
